The short version
You send us your travel dates and what you are looking for. We store that so we can work on it, we ask the relevant local businesses what is available, and we email you back. We do not sell your data, we do not add you to marketing lists because you made an enquiry, and you can have your record deleted by asking.
What we collect, and when
When you send an availability request. The form asks for your name, email address, travel dates, group size and a description of what you want. Nothing else is required. If you volunteer more — ages of children, a dietary requirement, an allergy, a mobility need, an occasion — we store that too, because the local business needs it to answer properly. Health-related details are only ever collected because you chose to tell us and are used solely to arrange your day safely.
Attribution attached to your request. Every request also records which page it came from, which destination and service category that page covers, and where on the page you started. It also notes the page you first landed on and the name of the website that referred you, never the full address. This tells us which parts of the site are useful. It is about the page, not about you, and it contains no browsing history beyond that one site name.
When you write to us as a local business. Your business name, location, what you run, your season, licence or registration details and your business contact details. Sole traders are individuals in law, so we treat this as personal data and give you the same rights as anyone else.
When you correspond with us. Emails and messages, kept with your enquiry so that the next person picking it up has the context.
How your request is handled technically
The form on this site posts to a small function on our own hosting, which forwards it immediately to our back-office system over an authenticated connection. The request is written to our database first, before anything else happens, so an enquiry is never lost because an email failed. That system is shared across the group’s travel brands; your record is tagged to the brand you contacted and is not merged into another one.
Why we are allowed to hold it
For handling your enquiry and arranging your booking, because it is necessary to take steps at your request and to perform what you asked for. For keeping records of bookings, because we have legal obligations. For contacting local businesses about being listed, on the basis of our legitimate interest in building the service, assessed against their interests and always with an easy way to say no — and never at all in countries whose rules require prior consent for such messages. For anything optional, such as a newsletter, only with your consent.
Who we share it with
The local businesses we ask on your behalf. Initially only the details needed to answer your question. Once you choose an option, the business delivering your day receives what it needs to deliver and contact you. They are independent businesses and use your details under their own privacy terms for that purpose.
The companies that run our systems, acting on our instructions. Website hosting, the email service that sends our replies and notifications, and the database behind our back office. They process data for us and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.
Nobody else, except where we are legally required to disclose something.
Automated processing
We use automated tooling to help sort and summarise messages — for example, to turn a local business’s availability reply into a structured record so nobody retypes it. It assists the person handling your enquiry; it does not make decisions about you that produce legal effects, and a person reads and approves what is sent to you.
Email, marketing and opting out
Replies about your enquiry and your booking are service messages and are sent because you asked us something. Newsletters and anything promotional are opt-in only, with an unsubscribe link in every message that works immediately.
If you tell us to stop contacting you — by unsubscribing, by replying, or through the contact page — we record it in a suppression list that is checked before anything is sent, including automated follow-ups. It applies across every brand and channel in the group.
We do not send unsolicited commercial messages over WhatsApp.
Cookies and website measurement
This website uses Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-6T6N4PZKWK) to count visits and see which pages and forms are used. We have configured it to anonymise IP addresses, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not send it anything you type into a form. Google Analytics sets its own cookies on your device; you can block them in your browser settings or with Google’s opt-out add-on, and the site works exactly the same without them. The company that hosts this site keeps standard server logs, including IP addresses, for security and reliability. Where we use a link that passes through our own redirect to a partner site, we log that a click happened and which link it was; we do not follow you onto the destination site. When you send a form we record the page you first landed on and the website that referred you, which is the site name only and never the full address, so that we can understand which pages bring enquiries. That is kept with your enquiry, it is deleted with it, and it is not used to track you across visits. If we add any further measurement, this page will say so first.
How long we keep things
Enquiries that do not turn into bookings are kept for a limited period so we can pick things up if you come back, then deleted. Booking and payment-related records are kept for as long as tax and liability rules require. Records of people who have asked not to be contacted are kept indefinitely, because that is the only way to honour the request — the record contains no more than is needed to do so.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of what we hold, ask for corrections, ask for deletion, ask us to restrict or stop a particular use, object to processing based on legitimate interests, withdraw a consent you gave, and ask for your data in a portable form. Ask through the contact page and we will action it, without making it difficult. You also have the right to complain to your national data protection authority.
International transfers
Our systems are hosted in the European Economic Area or in countries covered by an adequacy decision, or otherwise under approved safeguards. Some of the local businesses we introduce you to are, naturally, in the destination country you are travelling to.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes materially we will update this page. Any question about your data — including a request to see it or delete it — goes through the contact page and reaches a person.
